JOHN IRELAND

John Ireland was born into a family of actors and a garden of
dreams called the theatre. He grew up following his legendary actor father (the
late John Ireland) around movie sets, and on summer stock tours. Along the way
the younger Ireland found his own roads and became an accomplished television
writer and producer.
In recent years he has returned to his family roots, the theatre. His first
play, JOHNNY MORRAN, received outstanding reviews and in 2003 Ireland directed
it as a movie. His second play, THE MAGIC HOUR, was recently given a reading in
Paris and will receive its world premiere production in Los Angeles in late
2005. His third play, "Living in Hollywood and other crimes of passion" is the
biography of his famous father and production plans will soon be announced.
John has recently opened a web site as a way of sharing his writing to all who
come upon it at
www.thegardenofdreams.com.

Book Description:
"Some day you aren't sure you're alive until
you're out of skin."
His first book of two novellas, THE BALLAD OF JOHNNY SOMETHING-ELSE, is
available through Amazon.com and other electronic bookstores. Both novellas are
now in negotiations to become major studio films, as is the thriller of his
latest script OSCAR MOON.
Ireland's hobbies have included racing vintage Alfa Romeos, playing the
saxophone, still photography, and collecting vintage wrist watches. He met his
wife when they were both in school. Fifteen years later they married. They have
three cats and one dog and are planning to move to the south of France in the
next few years.
